About the School
When will Regent Christian Schools open?
We are planning to open in August 2027, with the first academic term beginning in September 2027.
Where is the school located?
Our temporary start up campus is just North of central Tokyo at the Victory Place Building, 3-1-24 Nishi Sengendai, Koshigaya, Saitama 343-0041, Japan. Koshigaya is well-connected to central Tokyo and accessible by train (55 minutes from Tokyo Station).
What grades will be offered in the first year?
We are opening with Elementary (Kindergarten–Grade 5) in our first year and Middle School (Grades 6–8) with High School grades to follow as the school grows. We will confirm final grade offerings ahead of enrollment.
Why did you open a Christian School?
Parents want a safe place for their children to be free from politics, brain washing, and confusion that limits the lives and futures of their kids. Schools with a vision help students achieve their dreams.
Is Regent an accredited school?
We are pursuing accreditation through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), one of the world's leading Christian school accreditation bodies. We will publish our accreditation timeline as it is confirmed. Many excellent Christian schools operate successfully during the candidacy period.
What is the school's denominational affiliation?
Regent Christian Schools is Bible-based non denominational Christian school. We welcome families from across the spectrum of evangelical Christian traditions who affirm our Statement of Faith [LINK]. We do not favour any particular Christian denomination. People who love Jesus will be very comfortable, and non-Christians will also feel ‘at home’ at Regent.
Can Non-Christians be considered, accepted, and attend the schools?
Yes! Non-Christians are welcome to Regent. However, you do have to keep in mind that the Regent standard is the Bible. The Word of the Almighty God has been the foundation of strong families, businesses, and governments that are best in class for thousands of years. You can be the best in class as well!
How large will the school be?
We are targeting 40–60 students in our founding year, growing to approximately 120 students by Year 3. We are deliberately maintaining small class sizes as we grow — this is a feature, not a limitation. We expect the school to grow to over 1,000 students quickly.
Where do you get your inspiration for schools
Cedar Park Christian Schools founded by Pastor Joe Fuiten in 1982 in the United States. Joe Fuiten was the minister who officiated our founder’s wedding in 1989. The school is now 4 campuses with nearly thousands of students.
What makes Regent different from other Christian schools?
Many Christian schools unknowingly teach what we call a “Dark Ages Mentality” an unbiblical view that suggests sickness is from God, poverty is somehow holy, and whatever happens is automatically God’s will. We believe this is not biblical and limits students’ faith and potential.
At Regent Christian Schools, we take a different approach. We are committed to academic excellence in mathematics, science, technology, and the arts, while helping students deeply know who God is and how good He is to those who love and serve Him. We want our students to grow in both strong faith and strong minds -fully equipped to impact the world for Christ.
Where do you see students of Regent going after graduation?
Graduates of Regent will be our future scientists, entrepreneurs, professors, C suite executives, astronauts, musicians, creatives, accountants, bankers, artists, doctors, explorers, athletes, architects, and most importantly world changing moms and dads.
Admissions
Who can apply to Regent Christian School?
We welcome applications from all families, business professionals, missionary families, international residents, and Japanese families seeking a true English-language education. Ideally, at least one parent or guardian should be a professing Christian who affirms our Statement of Faith and supports Regent's values.
Are non-Christian children accepted?
Families from various backgrounds are welcome. As Regent is a Christ-centred school, we ask that all families understand, respect, and support the school's biblical values and faith environment — including regular chapel, Bible classes, and prayer. We do not require students to be a member of any particular church or ministry.
When do applications open?
We are currently accepting Expressions of Interest from families ahead of our formal application period opening in early 2027. Families on our interest list will receive early access to applications and enrollment information.
Is there an admissions interview?
Yes. All prospective families are invited for a campus visit and conversation with our leadership team as part of the admissions process. This is an opportunity for both parties to ensure Regent is the right fit.
Do you accept mid-year enrolments?
We will do our best to accommodate families relocating to Japan mid-year. Please contact our admissions team to discuss availability and the process for mid-year placement.
Academics
What language are classes taught in?
All core subjects are taught in English. Japanese language is taught as a core subject at every grade level.
What curriculum do you use?
We are finalising our curriculum framework and will confirm our selection ahead of enrolment opening. We are evaluating leading American Christian curricula with an emphasis on science and technology, and will notify our interest list directly when confirmed.
Will you offer a Japanese curriculum / help children maintain Japanese schooling credentials?
We are aware of the unique situation facing Japanese families considering an international school. Please contact our admissions team to discuss your child's specific situation and what transitional or supplementary support we can offer.
Will Regent prepare students for international university admissions?
Yes. Our curriculum is designed with university preparation in mind — both for Japanese universities and for institutions in the US, UK, Australia, and beyond. Our high school programme (planned expansion) will include university counselling and relevant qualification pathways.
Faith & Culture
What does "Christ-centred education" actually mean day-to-day?
It means faith is not kept to Bible class and chapel — it shapes how we teach every subject, how we handle conflict, how we build community, how we grow, how we prosper, and how we talk about the world. Students pray together, read the Bible,, serve others, and are taught by teachers who are actively living out their faith that moves the the mountains of life.
Is chapel compulsory?
Yes. Regular chapel is a core part of school life at Regent and attendance is expected of all students. We believe communal worship and the Word are foundational — not optional extras.
Can families from other religions or no faith background apply?
Regent is an amazing Christian school, and our programme is built on that foundation. Families who are not Christian are welcome to apply — but should understand that all students participate in chapel, Bible classes, and faith-integrated learning. Regent may not be the right fit for parents who are not open-minded about learning, great relationships, or want to deny God wanting to be involved in our lives.
How do you handle students who are exploring faith or who are not yet believers?
With grace, patience, and no pressure. Our teachers create safe environments for honest questions. We believe genuine faith cannot be coerced — and we want students to encounter God authentically, not perform Christianity for the sake of school rules. Regent staff love God, and we love people.
Fees, Extracurriculars, etc.
What is the annual tuition?
Our estimated tuition for our 2027 opening year is currently under review, and will be depending on grade level. Final fees will be confirmed before enrollment opens. Founding families receive a tuition advantage.
Do you offer financial aid?
Yes. We offer a limited number of need-based rewards for qualifying families. We particularly want to ensure missionary families and those serving in ministry contexts can access a Regent education. Contact us confidentially to learn more.
What is the school calendar / term structure?
Regent will follow a [September–June] academic calendar aligned with international school norms in Japan. Full calendar details will be shared with enrolled families and published on our website ahead of our opening.
Will there be a school uniform?
Yes. Details of our uniform policy will be confirmed and communicated to families ahead of our 2027 opening.
What after-school activities will be available?
We are planning an after-school programme including arts, sports, and enrichment activities. Specific offerings will be confirmed closer to opening. Families on our interest list will be notified.
Is there a school lunch programme?
Yes. We are planning a lunch programme for our opening year. Details — including options, costs, and dietary accommodation — will be confirmed ahead of enrollment.
What is your child protection / safeguarding policy?
The safety of every child in our care is an absolute priority. All Regent staff will undergo thorough background checks and mandatory child safeguarding training before the school opens. Regent facilities are under video surveillance inside as well as outside the facility. Our full safeguarding policy will be published on our website. We adhere to internationally recognised best practices in child protection. A security team will also be employed by the school to protect students and staff.
